NCWorks in Wilkes Workforce Events
Last week the Wilkes NCWorks Center held a successful job fair with over 70 job seekers attending to meet with 10 employers. A second job fair is scheduled for October 18th to meet the demands by employers and job seekers allowing for on-site interviews.
Staff also presented to the Wilkes County Schools CTE Business Industry Education Forum (BIEF) on services available to job seekers and employers. The presentation focused on services available to local businesses on work-based learning opportunities such as work experience, on-the-job training, and incumbent worker grants.
