Growing the Outdoor Economy
A career in outdoor recreation is more than just a seasonal job, it’s everything from manufacturing to science to advocacy and more. The outdoor economy is growing across the country and in the High Country region. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, the outdoor recreation industry grew nearly 19% since 2020 compared to 5.7% for the U.S. economy as a whole, and outdoor jobs grew 13% compared to 2.9%.
