Finish Line Grant Funding Received

The High Country WDB has been awarded Finish Line Grant funding in partnership with local community colleges to assist students who face unforeseen financial emergencies on the cusp of training completion. These funds are designed to assist students with unexpected financial emergencies that could prevent students from completing their coursework and training. Eligible students must be in good academic standing and have completed 75% of their degree or credential to receive up to $1000 in assistance. Staff from the NCWorks Career Center and community colleges will work closely together to identify and assist students. Governor Cooper stated Finish Line Grants will helps students achieve their goals and will help our state train and maintain a strong, talented workforce.
