Vision NW NC 2023 Well Attended

Several High Country COG staff participated in the Vision NW NC summit focusing on Returning and Retaining Today’s Workforce hosted by the Boone Chamber of Commerce. Sessions focused on training and creative credentials, a digital workforce, local experiences, friendly workplaces, and work-based learning. Pam Wilson, the NCWorks Career Center Manager for the Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey centers participated on the work-based learning panel to share information about internships, on-the-job training, and other employer services. Partners from across the region presented on workforce development services supporting employers and employees.
