Great Attendance at the Wilkes Job Fair!
The annual Wilkes Spring Job Fair was well attended on March 30th on the campus of Wilkes Community College. Over 200 job seekers attended the job fair with 60 employers represented.
The first 100 job seekers received a tote bag donated by Lowe’s Food with information filled from community partners about resources and events. Staff from NCWorks assisted throughout the day and provided information on services at the center. The job fair was supported by multiple partners to include Goodwill Career Connections, High Country Workforce Development Board, NCWorks Career Center of Wilkes, NC Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Wilkes Chamber of Commerce, Wilkes Community College, Wilkes Economic Development Corporation, and Wilkes Recovery Revolution.
