Work Ready Communities Information Meeting

August 22, 2014 – 10:00am

High Country Council of Governments

The North Carolina Chamber of Commerce is preparing to launch a statewide Work Ready Communities initiative. Counties will have an opportunity to apply and receive a “Work Ready” designation based on a number of criteria, such as graduation rates and the number of Career Readiness Certificates held. This designation will be a way for counties to showcase their qualified workforce and how it aligns with ongoing efforts in our area schools, colleges, and Career Centers.

Many of you are familiar with the Career Readiness Certificate and this larger effort to certify communities. For more information, click here.

Please join us to learn more about how your county can be involved and achieve a “Work Ready Community” designation.

Please RSVP to [email protected] and pass this invitation to anyone interested.
