Wednesday, August 20th at the Watauga Medical Center Auditorium from 9:00am – 10:30am with Scott Ellsworth, the Director of Business Leaders United for Workforce Partnerships (BLU). BLU is comprised of small and medium-sized businesses from a range of industries who are concerned about our nation’s skills gap.
This meeting will give us a chance to share with BLU our regional partnerships, our methods of addressing the skills gap in the High Country, and explore both what is and isn’t working. The BLU team will share more about what is going on with federal policy and how we can help shape the skills debate in Washington, D.C. Local member, Trasa Jones of Pioneer Eclipse in Sparta, will be able to share with you what she’s gotten through her engagement with the initiative.
Please join us at 8:30am for coffee and treats from Stick Boy Kitchen, and we’ll begin promptly at 9:00am.
